ABOUT
Natalie Johnson is a pop-soul artist from Spokane, WA, blending influences from songwriters Sara Bareilles and Jason Mraz with the sounds of Allen Stone and Lake Street Dive to create a unique style rooted in soulful authenticity and contemporary singer-songwriter sensibilities. At 8 years old, her dad bought her a Baby Taylor guitar, and soon after she started taking lessons. It wasn’t long before she began writing her own music with the chords she was learning. Throughout her school years, Natalie immersed herself in every musical opportunity available to her, from classical and jazz competitions to choir and school musicals. With her mom’s encouragement, she later began voice lessons and taught herself piano, both of which deepened her artistry and songwriting. She moved to Nashville in 2015 to pursue her passion for music. Her debut single “Small Talk”, released in summer of 2022, followed by “Complicated” in 2023, both highlight her warm, powerhouse vocals and heartfelt lyrics. Her latest singles, "Grounded" and "Temporary Honey", explore soul and Motown influences, marking a new chapter in her sound. When she isn’t writing or performing her own music, Natalie tours as a background vocalist with award-winning Gospel artist David Phelps and teaches private voice lessons to a small group of students she deeply enjoys working with.
